On this, the last day of the year, I am reminded of the wonderful times had with family and friends this past year.  It has also been a fantastic year of theatre for me, and I'd love to share pictures from the shows I was apart of in 2011.

These two readings were a fantastic experience: CATCO had a live Twitter feed set up so people could tweet about the show as it was happening.  This picture is from Death of a Salesman, and you can see the large projected Twitter feed in the background.

This show was a lot of fun.  We did it in the Steampunk style and the costumes were amazing!  I got to really cut loose as my character was quite an eccentric.

This is quite possibly my favorite show ever.  The cast and crew were amazing, and I've never felt more invested in a role.  The play takes place in both 1895 and 1923 in the west and south of an agrarian America, and is a charming portrayal of the storytelling tradition.

The company I co-run, Solstice Theatre, performed a winter yule Celebration as a fundraiser this year.  It was lovingly crafted by one of our founding members, Allison Hill, and was a great success!

This video is amazing.  Cassie was an abandoned kitten that was adopted by Moses: he would even feed her out of his mouth!  A beautiful story of true friendship.

Isn't Etsy an amzing site?  I would spend hours (and a fortune!) on there every day if I could.  Here are some amazing Etsy finds...some that I've purchased, and some that I haven't:)

Some say diamonds are a girl's best friend, but Emeralds are my favorite.  I love the Edwardian style of this ring.

I adore this 1930's day dress: it's feminine without being too precious.

How cheery is this bright yellow wiggle dress?  I wish I had gotten to it first:(

Alas, these shoes were too small for me, but I'm sure they found a good home!

My amazing mother got me this bracelet for Christmas...

Throwback Post #2

This past year, I was fortunate enough to be a part of the weddings of these two amazing friends:

Tori is my best girlfriend from high school.  She married Leah in a charming and intimate ceremony in Gloucester, MA on New Years Eve of last year.  We all even stayed in the hotel the wedding was held at, the scenic Ocean View Inn and Resort.

My gal pal Meggie married Jon this past October.  Meggie and I met through by boyfriend and her husband, who have been friends since high school.  It was a lovely outdoor ceremony with a whimsical woodland theme.

I came across this beautiful nature resort from an Anthropologie email a while back.  The email guided me to their Anthropologist webpage, and this video.  Enjoy the serenity.



Urnatur is Swedish for "ancient nature".  Can't you just imagine little fairies and gnomes moving through the woods?  Here are some photos from this dream of a place set deep in the forest...

Throwback Post #1

Since there are only T minus 5 days until the New Year, I thought I'd write about some amazing times we've had this past year.  Throwback Post #1 goes to: Hocking Hills!  We spent Halloween weekend In an amazing cabin with these people:
 

It also happened to be my golden birthday on the 29th.

Will and I also went to Hocking Hills for our anniversary:)  It was our first date two years ago, and we celebrated by staying in this fantastic retreat called Silver Wolf Cabin, complete with hot tub and Majestic Wolf decor!

It was a perfect few days...

I can't wait to go back next year.

Hello, Crow!

This past Friday, December 23rd, I got my sixth tattoo: a crow. 

For me, crows have a very powerful and personal meaning.  They are said to see past, present and future, and are highly intelligent.  This little guy is my own personal good omen and a reminder to live in the moment.  Do you have any tattoos?  What do they mean to you?

My new friend was inked by the amazing tattoo artist Andy Johnson of Cap City Tattoo here in Columbus.  You can check out his work here on his Cap City artist's page.  

As an actor, tattoos can be a point of contention.  Luckily, there are a wonderful array of cover up products available.  I am eager to try Tattoo Cosmetic's products, as they look easy to use and thorough.  Have you tried any cover up products that you particularly like?  Any not worth trying?
