Ikea: Textures and Lights

While at Ikea last week, I decided to try and capture the experience of the store through the lighting and fabric textures.  Here are a few of the photos, if you'd like to see:

As a devotee of navy and black, I was amazed to find myself thinking pink this past month.  This was no surprise to my lovely sister, who was not fooled when I picked Emerald and Blush as our wedding colors last fall and tried to say that the blush was more of a nude:)

Have a Wonderful Long Weekend

Do you have any special plans for the long weekend?  Today my mother, sister and I are going to Ikea, and tomorrow my family is participating in the PetPromise Rescue Run for homeless pets.  Will and I are also attending a gathering to celebrate with Aaron and Kristina, who are getting married next weekend (yay!).  I hope you get to spend some time relaxing, and below are some interesting links if you'd like to take a look.

Happy Birthday Mama!

Today is my mother's birthday, and to celebrate, my sister and I took tomorrow off to go on a group shopping trip to Ikea.

Delaware Arts Festival

My brother was in town this past weekend, and so my family and I celebrated with excellent coffee from Something Sweet Coffee & Bakery (the old Mean Bean Cafe) and some quality time at the Delaware Arts Festival.  My mother bought a clay Green Man plaque for her garden, and I savored a corn dog and took lots of photos.  Here are a few, if you'd like to see.
